Americans largely don’t have a clue about socialism. They have a propaganda distorted Cold War age idea of socialism which equals to the communist dictatorships of the CCCP and China. Well I don’t believe imto capitalism, because politicians will always seek money and power. This leads the politics making listen corporations and rich people instead of the common people.
Also, in capitalism wealth accumulates. The more time passes, the fewer and fewer people (and corporations) become ultra rich and own bigger and bigger part of the total wealth. The rest share ever smaller slice of the total wealth.

I concur. As a youth we’re essentially siphoned into those molds if we intellectualize our rebellion in the least. Now as an adult I’ve come to see we must each stand upon our own two feel and good will to make it in this world — the tenants of a proper capitalist society.
