(Courtesy of Crooks & Liars) Real Time with Bill Maher reporter (and comedian) Dana Gould visits both a healthcare townhall protest and a Remote Area Medical clinic – essentially a traveling hospital that works in third world countries – operating in downtonw Inglewood, CA.
It didn’t matter that he only rounded up Foreigners, Minorities, Liberal Politicians, Labor Union members and leaders, Artists, Homosexuals, liberal members of the clergy, Liberal College professors, Intellectuals, Communists and of course “SOCIALISTS”! etc., etc.
I love how These Am Radio University graduates like to compare Obama to Hitler through some supposed “Socialist’ link!
It Usually goes like this:
Hitler created the Nazi party which gave us the term “NAZI”.
“Nazi” stood for National “Socialism”.
True Socialists are liberals politically.
Therefor Hitler was a Socialist and a product of THE LEFT!!!

What if you were born in a poor family who couldn’t afford basic health care, what would you do?
ok at first i didn’t like people doing this but now that i saw that obama wasn’t doing anything i can understand.
The downtown “clinic” featured in this and many other stories was exclusively for eye and dental care. Neither are included in the plans proposed so far, so all these poor souls will be in the same predicament after the plan passes as they are now. I guess it makes good fodder for the Bill Mahr types that care only about their standing with liberals, as opposed to getting accurate information and doing something constructive.
Isn’t that the truth. I swear people who are for this health care reform need to back Obama, start our protest and fight back and shut these idiots up. Dana Gould is so right. Those who have healthcare are bullshitting for nothing while those who have it are hopeful. That doesn’t work. What the fuck?!!?!?

A lot of these people obviously haven’t even read the proposals, which is why you see these aberrations. An uninformed public will disagree with anything, because they just don’t understand it. It’s a slippery slope. They think this is tantamount to communism (it isn’t even close) and are afraid their country will turn into CCCP v2.
Indeed, if you had better journalism (not a US-bash), then people could be better informed. All I see is obnoxious Bill O’Reilly-type shows without actual content.

I may be wrong as I have not quite made my way through the entire House Bill as currently written, but I don’t think health care reform tackles visions and dental. If it does, please point it out to me,but if not, the RAM efforts will still be needed.

Actually, we are quite aware of the fact that we already have a byhrid socialist system in place. It’s not a fucking secret, we want to EXPAND it. It should work in the favor of everyone. It should set a STANDARD for insurance companies. Every time someone without insurance waits for a year and a half to get treatment, it costs 10 times the amount that it would have costed to fix it in the first place, and we pay for it. We need to insure people. As Gould later says, it’s good business.

I think Bill should put together a panel of people who agree with him. He always makes it so hard for himself by booking guests who argue an oppsing point of view.
