It is so childish of him to continue to blame Bush. He knows as well as we do what Bush did, but Bush is gone, and HE is the president and what happens NOW is his responsiblity.
bush cut taxes for the wealthiest 1 % of america, then used the existing surplus to begin a new round of nation building in the mid east so that his fatcat republican business buddies (cheney etc.) could increase profits and spread capitalism. republicans are either way too rich via illegitimate means or they are sheep fooled by the upper echelon. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS DIVINE RIGHT. THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM IS FAILING.
What a joke – ask Obama about his lawsuit against Citicorp for not issuing mortgages to people with no credit!! Ask about his involvement with ACORN – who harassed banks into issuing loans to people who should not have qualified. He said he’s going to clean up the mess ‘they’ made? He’s referring to his own party and himself!! Bush and McCain tried to prevent this credit crisis in 2003 and 2005 – only to be shot down by democrats.
Now that the collapse has occurred, the reform roadblock built by Senate Democrats in 2005 is unforgivable.
We now know that many of the senators who protected Fannie and Freddie, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Christopher Dodd, have received mind-boggling levels of financial support from them over the years.
